I guess a reply 1 1/2 years later may still be valid....LOLOLOL.  Yes, KCBS does not recognize the art of whole hog cooking but MBN (Memphis Barbecue Network) does.  Hog is my favorite thing to cook and we typically do pretty well at it in competition.

Welcome Jim. Donald has been doing an excellent job of getting this site going so spread the word!  I KNOW you have the forum for that! Special attention should be given to the sauce contest upcoming Donald is putting on.  It is a necessary tool to promote NC BBQ!

I've been away for a while.  Kind of like a winter layoff.  Our team is getting geared up and ready for some fast and furious competitions this year on the KCBS and MBN circuits.  I was hoping our own NCBBBA would have some activitiy but it seems that it is only a promotion for the founders so I am stuck with competing ...
