I guess a reply 1 1/2 years later may still be valid....LOLOLOL. Yes, KCBS does not recognize the art of whole hog cooking but MBN (Memphis Barbecue Network) does. Hog is my favorite thing to cook and we typically do pretty well at it in competition.

I would love to promote only NC barbecue but the reality is.....other states and towns have done a much better promoting their craft than North Carolina. Welcome Jim. Donald has been doing an excellent job of getting this site going so spread the word! I KNOW you have the forum for that!
Special attention should be given to the sauce contest upcoming Donald is putting on. It is a necessary tool to promote NC BBQ!

Donald, when updating this site with contests, I would not restrict it to just NC events. KCBS plays a huge role in influencing potential site visitors.
