Denver has never had an outdoor event like this and we are proud to be apart of it! Welcome to Vocals for Veterans a two day outdoor music event featuring the best of the best in music entertainment Saturday & Sunday. Vocals for Veterans will also have the best of the best bbq cook teams in the western North Carolina area competing for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place & Fan Favorite in our Smoke & Glory BBQ Competition! Cook Team Check In starts Friday at 12pm. Cooks meeting & meat inspection @6:30pm. This is an only butt competition. Meat Turn In will be at 2pm on Saturday October 11th. At 2pm the bbq area will open to the public & cook teams will serve up bbq and the public will vote for their “fan favorite” Who’s gonna be the 1st place winner with bragging rights for the 1st Annual Smoke & Glory BBQ Competition? Could it be your team? All proceeds from this event will go to the nonprofit LOV, a veterans organization in the Denver area. To date they have served 100 veterans in and around our area! This is a patriotic event to celebrate the brave men and women who fought and still fight today for our freedoms! Go all out for the red, white & blue!!
